Xerrada amb Joshua Knobe, catedràtic de Filosofia, Psicologia i Lingüística a la Universitat de Yale.
Experimental philosophy is a new movement that aims to make progress on the traditional questions of philosophy by running systematic experiments, i.e., by using the sort of methods more commonly associated with psychology. I will provide a brief introduction to the basic ideas behind the experimental philosophy movement and then discuss a number of different discoveries that experimental philosophers have made about specific philosophical questions. Barcelona has established itself as one of the leading centers for work in experimental philosophy, and I will be highlighting some important experimental work from philosophers in Barcelona.
